Conversations from El Palmeral Retreat House, near Elche in sunny Spain. ‘El Palmeral’ is literally ‘The Palm Grove’, and we offer guided and individual retreat holidays to guests and friends, local and international who find a place ‘in the family’ here. Drawing on simple Christian practice, we focus on a ‘rhythm’ of the day that aims to help our fellow pilgrims relax, refresh and renew, . Mike is the co-director of El Palmeral Retreat House with his wife Julie.

Originally from England, Mike has worked as a radar engineer, teacher, educational consultant, church planter, church and worship leader.

He has been running El Palmeral for 10 years now, welcoming guest from all over the world, and sharing stories of faith, hope and inspiration.

His passion for Middlesbrough Football Club gives him personal experience of frustration, disappointment and long suffering...
